The German owners had originally hired Mallorcan architect for the project and monitoring.

The owners spoke to me, because the planning documents were presented to the municipal authority of Llucmajor over several years, but it was apparently impossible to obtain a building permit, and because they had the impression that the Spanish architect in charge, was not interested or cared about it.

I took the case and I called several times to the office and we visited on the ground with the authorities of the municipal office, and after that the building permits was granted.

The design and building structure were then completely reprogrammed.

The house is powered independently, with photovoltaics energy and heating energy comes from solar panels. To make this possible, the house was planned as a house of low energy consumption.

The outer walls are made of Ytong bricks 36 cm, all thermal bridges are systematically avoided. Roof insulation was created from natural cork, and wood for construction with ecological colors.

Exterior and interior plaster of gypsum are provided by a Majorcan company.

In this house, as the owners wanted, they have been taken ecological methods of construction.

In order to maintain low power consumption, it has been installed a natural cooling system. The air is sucked from the outside and passed through a tube system which is under water basins, naturally cooled and then flows in summer for cooling the house.
