Organic Architecture - Pioneer

Rudolf Steiner

1861 - 1925 Austria

At the beginning of the twentieth century, he founded a new spiritual movement, Anthroposophy, as an esoteric philosophy. Antroposophic architecture was part of this and so he became the creator  of new architectural forms and introduced what has come to be known as “Organic Architecture”. He designed 17 buildings, of wich 3 have been included amongst the most significant works of modern architecture. Comparable rather to living organisms then geometric shapes.
